Number of Awards given out at completion of the event will depend on number of individuals in Youth Category (17 and under) and adult Category. Free hot dogs chips and water during event. Hamburgers or cheeseburgers, potato salad and flavored beverages available for purchase in the afternoon.
The competitive trail challenge is held on the west slope of Scout Mountain near Pocatello, Idaho. Obstacles are spaced evenly along a trail, usually about a mile apart over a total distance of about 10 miles. The obstacles will include ten tests of the horse and rider. The tests reflect the basic horsemanship of the rider and the experience, training, and behavior of the horse. Each challenge will have a time limit, but there are no time requirements for completion of the ride.
The purpose of a Trail Challenge is to provide an educational trail experience in a controlled setting. It is also meant to be a fun for all levels of riders and horses.

A release of liability must be signed at the event. In the form below name, phone number and names of other paid for participants is mandatory, and an email is highly recommended.
